Howdy friends!
We are Jeff, Samantha, and little Levi. We had a tiny house of our own for a little while, living in a backyard in Denver. When we moved to Cheyenne, life ended up prodding us to sell the tiny house and buy a little house, but we’re still very much committed to the tiny house community. We are avid gardeners and animal lovers. Having your animal(s) in the yard is it a drawback to us. We will be getting chickens soon too. Samantha works as a Horticulturalist, Jeff is a long-time Caregiver CNA who is currently a stay-at-home dad with our little boy. Buckle is our blue tick coon hound who is 1.5 years old and a fruity mcfruit loop.
The nitty gritty: $400 is for a monthly rent price. Technically it’s not legal to live full time in a tiny house or RV in Cheyenne. It wasn’t in Denver either. But we took care of the aesthetics and kept things looking nice, and there was never an issue. We assume it would be the same here. We can work together to make the situation work. We live away from highly trafficked roads, with a 0.6 acre yard. Water hook up would probably have to be with heated drinking water houses which you can find at Home Depot, sewer drop is already there, let us know what kind of electrical hook up you have and we can make sure we’re ready for that. Rent would be $400/month + your share of the utilities, which we will look at bills each month to discuss that together. Your utilities shouldn’t be much, unless you use electric heat, which in our experience has been pricey in the deep winter. But we’ll talk through all of it. We would be happy to share our laundry as long as we can plan ahead a little bit to know when you’ll be using it (maybe we’d pick certain days?) and even some meals together. We are definitely looking for a community feeling, we like to share with other people!
We are pretty flexible. If you have questions or accommodations to be made, send us a note and we can talk about it! We look forward to hearing from you :)
