Maverick Tiny Homes The life changing experience of becoming a minimalist in the later years of my life has been an adventure. I chose Maverick Tiny Homes because they are a local company, their models were appealing to my needs, and the staff was so helpful in getting the project started. The build, in my opinion, was complicated with several factors including the Covid pandemic, the supply chain problems, and my adding extra custom storage places, etc. I really am happy in this sweet 34’ Maverick model and “she” meets my needs as I transition from a “bigger than I need” life to a smaller, more manageable living space. There have been some manageable issues which have been resolved by the builders who were eager to work with me. With a custom build, which meets NOAH regulations, the price tends to cause some ‘raised eyebrows’ but again the quality is equal to many other custom homes. But I have no regrets except the difficulty in getting a variance within my village limits for this type of structure. The tiny home movement is growing and is here to stay. Communities must change to accommodate them. To have an alternative to senior living spaces on the market is invaluable.
