Hi there. I built this tiny house over the last two years. It is one-of-a-kind and designed for two occupants. It has never been lived-in.
Here are its features:
* It measures 7.5' wide by 12' long (excluding the tongue) by 13' tall at its peak. It is a "true tiny"
* Its water system is simple - connect a garden hose and you have a normally-functioning kitchen sink and shower.
* The hot water is delivered via an on-demand propane water heater. Just turn the faucet or shower toward the hot side and the water heater automatically turns on.
* The kitchen stove/oven is new and operates on propane.
* There is 1 inch of rigid foam insulation on the outside of the frame of this house. Insulation is also between the framing members. In short, the house is very well insulated.
* Electricity to power the lights and outlets of this house is provided by any simple extension cord.
* The toilet is a Separett composting, urine-diverting toilet. It has a small fan which constantly pulls air out through the toilet, so that there is never an odor in the house.
* I am proud of the shower. Its floor contains stones from a beach in the San Juan Islands. Its walls are epoxy-sealed cedar.
* The bathroom wall is papered with pages from Country Living magazine from the 1920s. Feel free to enjoy the built-in reading material.
* Heat is provided by a Cubic Mini Cub, which burns wood.
* The sleeping loft is queen-sized.
* The front door is secured by an electric combination keypad.
* The front porch can fold up for transport.
* The storage stairs offer a closet and many cubbies for storage.
* The table can fold up and down.
* Though the house lacks a license plate, a trip permit can be acquired in order to move it.
* The house is gosh darn cool.
This beautiful tiny home represents many hours of labor and design.
