Meet Clarissa!
Clarissa is an 8’ wide x 20’ long x 9’ high converted shipping container tiny home which has been lovingly created and lived in for 8 months. I am selling now because I have been given the opportunity to buy a conventional home and need to use the money to help with that endeavor. I am looking to get back just my investment in materials and electrical installation which is $10,000. Clarissa is worth much more as many hours were put into getting her in shape.
I will consider owner financing, if you have good credit and references, with a $5000 down payment.
Clarissa has been electrically wired by a licensed electrician with 200 AMP service, including a GFI circuit for kitchen equipment. A beautiful floor has been installed which appears to be wood but is actually a 100% waterproof material. The walls and ceiling have been insulated and drywalled with purple board, but not taped and finished as yet. There is a 6’ sliding glass door and a single hung vinyl window. No plumbing has been installed, as my original plan was to add another room or two, with plumbing. She is currently sitting on concrete blocks but could have a more permanent foundation or be put on wheels.
When I lived in Clarissa I had an outdoor kitchen and solar shower. I also used a homemade composting toilet, in a tent enclosure outside, which consisted of a bedside commode with a bucket underneath (using lime powder and sawdust layering). I was hooked up to electricity and had access to an outside water hose bib.
This is a perfect home for the right person. She could also be used as a rental or guest room.
I also have resources to help you move her inexpensively.
NOTE: the decks shown in the photos are not included, as I will be using them at my new house
