Cozy Floating Cottage

Live in a tiny house on water! This floating cottage does not have an engine and is ideal for liveaboards or weekend getaways. Indoor living space is 280 sq. ft. The foredeck is 80 sq. ft. and aft deck is 40 sq. ft. It has a walk-around deck on the sides - perfect for bike storage or garden boxes. The cottage sits on two sturdy steel pontoons. Instead of a flat roof (which is more likely to leak), this houseboat has a pitched roof, which provides better insulation and doesn't leak. Features include • New Pioneer mini-split heater and a/c unit • Built-in shelving • LOTS of storage • Generous closet space • Full size shower • Incinolet toilet system • 2.5 gallon water heater • Wall-mounted TV with receiver • Microwave and hot plate • New paint inside and out • Thermal curtains for winter use • 3 dock boxes/coolers on aft deck for storage • Full size bed that sleeps 2 (newer Ikea mattress) • Sofa that folds down to sleep 2 with bedding storage • Kayak with oars and life vests for kids and adults • New apartment-sized fridge (with room for a bigger fridge) • Patio furniture (4 chairs with cushions, 2 tables) The boat has a beautiful view of the Walnut Grove bridge. Expect to see beavers, sea lions, seals, and water birds. Ideal location for salmon fishing. It's currently docked at Deckhands Marina in Walnut Grove and sits under a covered slip. We both recently got jobs that requires a long commute. We are sad to let this beautiful place go. It's been a very beautiful, comfortable, and affordable place to live!
