Cozy, Tiny Cabin

This craftsman-style tiny house is fully equipped for simple living. The first level is 128 sq. ft., the sleeping loft is 56 sq.ft., and the storage loft is 24 sq.ft. It runs on propane and solar power, with a back-up plug for shore-power and can easily be set up to run off a rain-water collection system or a well. The kitchen features a farm-house sink, open shelving, a mini-oven, a two-burner stove top, and an under-counter fridge. The bathroom has a full shower stall and a composting toilet (Nature’s Head). The living space has a comfy bench that folds out into a comfy bed for guests. The loft is the perfect cozy sleeping nook. It has a handmade, buckwheat hull mattress and built-in frame, as well as a built-in closet. Specifics: Solar – 6 panels w/ 4 batteries, along with all necessary equipment (inverter, monitor, etc.) The solar set up alone was around $7K. It can also be used with a generator or shore power to charge the batteries within about 2 hours. Sink – Full- size farmhouse sink, open shelving allowing for more access to storage and increased mobility when working in the kitchen. Two-burner propane stove top Breville mini- oven – This little guy is great! I was able to cook everything I wanted in here, including roasting a full-sized spaghetti squash! Upper Shelving and Counter top – made from local Black Forest Fire pine, upper shelving features live edge Combo Washer/Dryer Folding Table – fits under staircase, either extend or pull out to use. Nature’s Head Composting Toilet Stall Shower Sliding Barn-style Door – privacy from bathroom to kitchen/living space Storage Staircase Storage loft with pull-up bar – this could also be used to anchor a ladder if you wanted.
