8'6"W x 24'L x 13'4"H, 12,000lbs. This custom build was engineered from the ground up. Starting with a tiny house specific aluminum trailer (ie. no rust ever!) made by reputable manufacturer Alcom Trailers, the structure was secured with a multitude of Simpson Strongtie brackets as well as being screwed and glued for maximum integrity during travel. Designed to 2009 IRC standards for 90lb snow load and 100mph winds, this build is extremely solid. The framing was insulated with spray foam for maximum R value with the added benefit of even more rigidity. Pine shiplap siding, metal roofing, and cedar rooftop deck clad the exterior, with fiberglass windows and door to finish to off the high quality structure (build pics available upon request).
The interior reveals a tiny house you can actually live in! No space was left un-utilized, with storage being built into every possible nook and cranny. Even the couch cushions lift up to reveal ample storage beneath. The kitchen is big enough to cook a proper meal, complete with maple counters, pantry, large refrigerator, dual sinks, and 24" propane stove. The bathroom has his-and-hers closet space, a huge shower with rain head, composting toilet, and plenty of room to fit a dresser for more clothing storage. Floating walnut stairs ascend into the sleeping loft that feels very spacious with 42" head room! A door in the loft provides access to the rear balcony, with opportunity to install stairs to the rooftop deck. Cedar tongue and groove ceiling and a secondary storage loft at the front of the house round out the elegant interior.
