I own and operate a van conversion and tiny house building company in Pennsylvania, and have been working on this home on and off in between builds for other clients. Finally nearing the finish line with this build though and excited to share it! Shaker-style doors for the cabinets are underway in the shop, and final trim and touch up painting is yet to be completed, but will be prior to sale.
This build is completely off-grid capable, with a 12kW battery bank, 2kW of solar panels, 100 gallons of freshwater storage, and a custom recirculating water system. I'll stay away from the details, but please reach out if interested and I'd be happy to share the complete specifications. The home is built with Victron components and has been configured for remote monitoring, making it easy to keep an eye on things while away (battery usage, solar generation, water tank levels, etc.).
The home has an electric mini-split with heat pump for air conditioning and electric heat, and a propane fireplace for more efficient heating during the winter months. Electric heated floors are installed throughout the first floor for comfort as well.
Bathroom includes a Nature's Head composting toilet and shower with insulated (not exterior) grey water storage, so no need to worry about frozen drains during the winter. Grey water drainage can easily be hooked up to a permanent drain (city sanitary line or septic) and the onboard 100 gallon water system can also be bypassed with a pressurized hookup with the press of a button.
The bedroom is accessed by ladder and accommodates a full-size bed. A queen would fit, but would be more difficult to access the storage in the bedside units. Shown in the photographs is a full-size 8" thick mattress.
Overtop the entryway is a storage loft, accessed by a removeable telescoping ladder, which can also function as additional sleeping space for guests.
There are too many custom details to list here, so please reach out for details!
