This Knott County ATC (Area Technology Center) Tiny House was built in 2017 and has been on display since. It has not been lived in. This home was built by high school vocational students with grant money from KVEC (Kentucky Valley Educational Cooperative). This is a self sustaining grant, and proceeds from the sale of this home will be put back into the program for next year's build. All work was done under the supervision of licensed instructors. We have built 18 homes in the last 4 years.
This home has all hand crafted (red oak lumber harvested locally), custom built, cabinets, stairs with storage, and bedroom closets and drawers.
PEX plumbing used throughout for water supply, all drains connected to 1 drain underneath trailer.
All insulation is fiberglass R-19 floor and ceiling (2x6), R-13 walls (2x4)
The 18 ft trailer is special built with 2 - 7000 lb axles, with brakes on both axles. 8 lug tires
recessed queen mattress for more headroom in loft.
