This one-of-a-kind, cottage-style Tiny Home may as well come with my heart. Started as a weekend-warrior project with my Dad, the original intent was to build this as my permanent dwelling from the trailer up. However, life circumstances are leaving me with no choice but to sell this dreamy little abode. It is not finished, but oh-so-close... I would estimate it's about 90-95% complete. The remaining components are primarily finish work like built-in furniture, storage, very little plumbing, some trim work, and minimal painting. Anyone with some basic construction and plumbing skills should have no problem finishing it out in a handful of weekends. If interested, I have composed a punch-list of the remaining tasks that I would be happy to share.
Some notable features that make this home unique among all others:
-Constructed on a Tiny Home Builders 20' trailer
-Gambrel roofline and metal roofing
-Two skylights
-Two different styles of salvaged, authentic porthole windows
-6' garden window in bathroom
-Two lofts
-bay window intended for a window seat in the living space
-Live-edge cedar countertop in kitchen
-Antique oak flooring salvaged from circa 1920's schoolhouse, milled in Helen, GA
-DIY Shou Sugi Ban (charred wood) siding and cedar shakes on gable ends
My dad (a lifelong mechanic and otherwise Jack-of-all-trades who built two of my childhood homes) and I have poured our hearts, souls, sweat and blood and tears into this project for that last year and a half. It is made with love and intention for a simpler way of life. It turns out I'll be getting that in another, perhaps unexpected way, but I would nevertheless like to see this home go to... well, a good home.
There's much more to say about the project than I can possibly write here, so please do not hesitate to send serious inquiries my way. We'll talk and, if you're still interested, we can arrange a tour of the home.
