The downstairs and upstairs is comprised of 16 walls that are bolted into locally and sustainably sourced fir beams that run from the bottom floor to the top ceiling - making it modular and moveable. The walls are made with light-straw insulation, held together by a cedar lath, and then finished with an earthen plaster. The walls are painted with an earthen paint made of sand, straw, clay and mica and selenite crystals. The lumber is locally sourced and sustainably harvested cedar and fir.
