The Hiatus was the first tiny house and the prototype that launched the company, Tongue & Groove Tiny. It captures the rustic Oregon wilderness with an exterior finish of rough-sawn blue pine, milled right here in Bend, Oregon. For the interior, copious windows and bleached birch plywood create a light, modern feel. The bedroom loft is roomy, with the addition of dormers; however, there remains a traditional aesthetic with a gabbled portion of the roof. The French door is the welcoming, finishing touch. When the house finds its resting place, a large porch can be added, and would be encouraged to maximize the tiny house living style. The Hiatus is ready to go off-grid or on. Take your pick!
