Our THOW is 30 feet long (including tongue) and sits atop a Tiny Home Builders trailer with dual axles and electric brakes.
The bathroom has a full-size tub and shower, dual flush toilet, washer/dryer combo unit, exterior venting fan, and has a sliding barn door. It has storage under it, as well as a closet with an outlet inside (for charging a beard trimmer or something similar without having to leave it out to clutter up your space).
The kitchen has a fridge, propane stove, soft close cabinets & drawers, open shelves, pot rack, and an exterior venting hood. There is also a fold-down table for extra kitchen space, a work station, or a breakfast nook.
The living area doubles as a bedroom, because it has an elevator bed. There is a wall-mounted Samsung 40” 4K smart TV that the bed slides past.
All windows are Andersen and are made with tempered glass. There is a mini-split for heating and AC. It has a tank-less water heater. All lights are LED. There are 2 exterior access cabinets in the front of the house for extra storage. There is exterior power access on both the front & the rear.
The exterior has steel siding, cedar shakes, an exterior LED light near the front door, and a keyless entry system.
Our goal was to make something that has all the amenities of a house (though admittedly smaller 😊) and to make it as maintenance free as possible. We had this concept in mind while determining flooring, for example. When where you live gets lots of snow and rain there’s always a risk of water getting on the floor. We chose vinyl plank flooring because it is waterproof. This decision was also in mind on the exterior. We specifically chose products that will hold up to the elements, even down to using PVC for all exterior trim which will never mildew, rot, or fade. These options increased production cost–though the benefit of superior products far outweighed the additional costs.
