This 8'x 24′ Tiny Home on Wheels was Built by myself and a general contractor. It has enough room to potentially sleep 4 people, but better accompanies 2 comfortably, and a dog. I have lived in the tiny home for a year and a half now. This tiny home has a loft that currently holds a queen bed. The main living area holds a kitchen with a 4 burner stove/oven, an 11 cu. ft. fridge/freezer combo, and plenty of cabinet and counter space. There is an approximately 8′ couch/bench that can sleep 1 comfortably if not 2 people and also has storage underneath. In the bathroom area is a closet like area for a "dresser", a standard sized shower stall, a Sun-Mar composting toilet with fan, IKEA bathroom sink/vanity, a cut out for a washer/dryer combo (condensing) with hook ups. The home is run on a 15 or 20 amp plug for electricity. There is a Girard on demand hot water heater, a Dickinson marine heater, and the oven/stove which is all ran on propane.
It is VERY energy efficient (energy star appliances, LED lighting, Mitsubishi mini split which runs on electric for air and heat. The home could eventually be ran on solar if desired. There is also radiant floor heating that is plumbed, but not hooked up. For water, I use a standard RV style water hose that plugs into a water spigot and runs through a whole house Omni filter. All woodwork is custom for this home specifically. The cabinets throughout the home are from IKEA. The flooring is Marmoleum. There is also ample lighting with 10 windows (1 egress skylight) and 2 doors to allow plenty of natural lighting! Overall, the home is incredible and we are very happy with it, but we desire to have a more permanent home in a community. The home was designed with ideas from 2 other famous tiny homes, 1 being the Minim home (http://www.minimhomes.com) and HoME (https://www.tinyhousebuild.com). This home could make a vacation home on some property, an in-law suite, or just a fun home for anything really.
