This tiny house was built using all reclaimed & repurposed material; it was made w/ ~70% recycled materials from Evanston Rebuilding Warehouse, ebay, craigslist and other sources. It is intended to look like a metal caboose, and it is bolted to the trailer along the exterior wall perimeter. (Truck to transport tiny house available as well- negotiable. The truck is a 2013 Ford F250 w/ 140K miles.)
The house is fully insulated w/fiberglass: 4”thk walls & ceilings, 6” thk floor.
House road envelope is 8’-6” Wide, 13’-6” High, 24’ Long. The below listed areas are all the same width, slightly less than the trailer width:
Entry porch is 2’-4” Long
Living room is about 7’-6” Long
Kitchen is about 8’-0” Long
The Loft (above Kitchen) is about 8’-0” Long
The bathroom is 2’-4’ Long with an additional 2’-2” Long bumpout (where bathroom sink is)
The outer sheathing is painted, galvanized sheet metal. The exterior also includes tin shingles and 150 yr old pine boards & nails. There are countless fine-tuned & ornate details.
